Nashville, TN – Sertainty Corporation is delighted to announce that the Sertainty Unbreakable eXchange Protocol (UXP) Technology has received a VL5, with a 100% score from a Veracode security assessment enforcing the strictest available policy level.
Sertainty CEO Greg Taylor states the company engaged Veracode in the fall of 2020 to evaluate the security of their code and exploit any vulnerabilities as the company prepares for an active 2021.
The scope of tests performed on the Sertainty UXP Technology involved both Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Manual Penetration Tests (MPT). The SAST testing involves static enforcement of hundreds of CWE/OWASP software security rules and guidelines, PCI, CERT and secure coding standards. The MPT involves run time attacks executed by software security experts to find vulnerabilities in the areas of application logic, code injection, kernel debugger attacks, local storage, binary exploitation, reverse engineering, and weak encryption implementations, among others.
“We are very proud of our achievement with Veracode. Our technology continues to meet and exceed the challenges to break it both by commercial and government labs,” says Greg Taylor, CEO of Sertainty. “Our partners and customers can rest assured that the Sertainty UXP Technology, again third-party certified at the highest possible level, makes data privacy certain, provable and manageable by building privacy intelligence directly into data.”
Veracode is the industry leader in application security testing (AST). It has been in Gartner’s Leadersquadrant of Application Security Testing for six consecutive years for completeness of its vision and its ability to execute in the application security testing market. Most recently, Veracode was named a leader in the The Forrester Wave™: Static Application Security Testing, Q1 2021.
